The Making of Paper Graces
Every Paper Grace begins with a word — worry, overwhelm, fear, grief — written directly onto the paper before a single brushstroke is laid down. That word becomes the foundation, buried beneath layers of paint as the piece takes shape. What starts as something heavy and hard to hold is slowly covered, transformed, and released into something calm and beautiful. The stressor disappears into the landscape, into the blooms, into the light. By the time a piece is sealed into its envelope, the weight has been painted over — and what remains is something worth finding.
